- Education Summary
- Honours (DU), MA (DU), PhD in Progress (DU)
- Research Interest
- My research interests include migration studies, refugee representation, and digital media. I am particularly interested in how displaced and marginalized communities, especially refugees and asylum seekers are represented in online public discourse. My PhD thesis examines the representation of the Rohingya people on social media, with a focus on comment analysis to understand how narratives around this persecuted minority are constructed, contested, and circulated in digital spaces. More broadly, my work engages with questions of media framing, hate speech, humanitarian communication, and the role of social media in shaping public perception of forced migration and refugee crises. I also plan to extend my research to explore how other displaced communities are represented in digital media.
