Dr. Md. Farhadul Islam is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He has obtained Ph.D. in early 2018, in Cancer Molecular Pathology from the School of Medicine, Griffith University, Australia with distinction (No comments from all the examiners and was highly recommended for the degree). Dr. Islam’s working on cancer biology, drug development, and molecular marker development for various cancer. His research focuses on cancer genetics, epigenetics, and cancer signaling.

Dr. Islam has published more than 100 peer-reviewed research articles in respected journals such as Cancer Research, Molecular Carcinogenesis, Human Genetics, Critical Review in Oncology and Hematology, Clinical Colorectal Cancer, Biosensor, and Bioelectronics, European Journal of Cell Biology and Scientific reports, etc. He also wrote and published more than 20 book chapters, a couple of books on cancer pathogenesis and protocols with reputed publishing outlets e.g. Springer, Elsevier.

Dr. Islam has been awarded the Deans' Award 2019 from the Faculty of Science, the University of Rajshahi for outstanding performance in research. He has got Chancellors' Medal 2019 for becoming Highest achieving Ph.D. Graduate for 2018 at Griffith University, Australia. He also got the Early Career Researcher Award 2019 from Institute for Glycomics, Griffith University, Australia.

Editorial board contributions:  Associate Editor of BMC Cancer, Editorial Broad Member of Anticancer Agents and Medicinal Chemistry and Guest Editor of Frontiers in Endocrinology, Frontiers in Oncology. In addition, peer-reviewed more than 150 manuscript during the couple of last years.

Other peripheral work: Serving as an editorial board member of Editspring, an academic service provider help to the researchers published their papers in English academic journals. Also, conducting training sessions for the graduate students on scientific paper writing and publications at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
