Key area of specialization

Recommendation of region and ecosystem specific fisheries/aquaculture production, formulation and implementation of policies, strategies and planning for sustainable development. Considerable research, extension and development efforts are taken for different critical areasExplored the necessity for renovation of public ponds and canals in barind areas towards sustainable livelihood. Efforts are also taken on conducting B2B events; increasing capacity; piloting technologies; and implementing good practices with projects supported by DFID, USAID, USDA, DANIDA, EC, IC, OXFAM, IDA, IFAD etc. Authored and co-authored over 50 scientific articles, reports, manuals, abstract books and other IEC materials with focus on fisheries/aquaculture/agriculture, livelihood, enterprise development and climate change aspects. Explored aquaculture/fisheries/agriculture activities and assisted in identifying new area for research, extension and development through conducting and participating different seminar/ workshop/conference/ briefing sessions/keynote speech. Also maintained GO (DoF/BFRI/BARC etc.)-NGO (national/international)-Private sector-Association (Farmers/Fishers/Entrepreneurs) linkages for the same.
